Oh, this video made me teary... and made me want to run home and hug my own dog buddy.  Not to be too bossy here, but I really think everyone should spend some time at their local shelter, at least hanging out with some dogs.  Amazing how it lifts your mood and brings out the playfulness that we all lose track of sometimes!

my husband has a knack for finding new music.  it's something i really appreciate, as my days as a knowledgeable record store employee are long behind me.
lately he's been playing me stuff from KCRW, LA's public radio station.  one of the best shows is Morning Becomes Eclectic, which showcases new bands and has live performances.  i've been listening to the sharon van etten show like crazy.  i absolutely adore her voice and the melancholy strength that comes through the music.
also, KCRW has a live stream of music called Eclectic 24-- a really amazing mix of all musical genres that runs 24/7.  the iPhone app lets you purchase songs/albums directly through iTunes as you hear them on the stream.  genius!
